이 서적은 Society for News Design의 24번째 콘테스트에서 채택된 우수한 신문 디자인 작품만을 엄선하여 엮은 것이다. 2002년도에 발행된 신문들 중에서 디자인적으로 우수한 자료를 엄선한 것으로,전세계 13,000여종의 신문들 중에서 26명의 공정한 심판관들에 의해서 선정된 작품들이다.
